Acupuncture stimulates specific points along the body's meridians (energy pathways) to restore balance, improve circulation, and encourage the body's natural healing processes. It can influence the nervous system, immune system, and endocrine system.
Most people find acupuncture to be a relaxing experience. The needles are very fine, and any sensation is usually mild, such as a slight tingling, warmth, or gentle pressure.
The number of sessions varies depending on the individual and the condition being treated. Some people experience relief after just one session, while chronic conditions may require multiple treatments over several weeks. I will create a personalised treatment plan for you after our initial consultation. I usually recommend 6 weekly sessions to begin with and then reassess. It is an open conversation to ensure we are both happy.
